2012 Pre-Departure Orientation for Fulbright Scholars and Students Going to China

Congratulations on your Fulbright award!

The Fulbright Program for U.S. Scholars and Students is sponsored and managed by the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) of the United States Department of State.  The Institute of International Education (IIE) administers the Fulbright U.S. Student Program.  The Council for International Exchange of Scholars (CIES) administers the Fulbright Program for U.S. lecturers and researchers.

The East Asia and the Pacific Programs Branch at the U.S. Department of State organizes this annual Pre-Departure Orientation (PDO) for U.S. Fulbright Scholars and Students going to China.  Sessions will cover Fulbright program policies and guidelines, logistical preparations for a Fulbright grant, health care, political and economic issues in China, and other country-specific information.
