Fulbright NEXUS Scholar Dr. Enzo Sauma Organizes Conference on Energy Economics in Chile

On Friday, October 28, 2011 in Santiago, Chile, the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (PUC) School of Engineering hosted the "First Conference on Energy Economics," sponsored by the Ministry of Energy, Renewable Energy Center (CER) and DICTUC SA, an organization affiliated with the university whose mission is to apply new knowledge and technology toward the economic and social development of Chile and Latin America.  Dr. Enzo Sauma, a current Fulbright NEXUS Scholar, organized the event.

The theme for the conference was sustainable development in Chile's energy sector, and its goal was to facilitate a dialogue between academia and policy-makers about non-conventional renewable energy sources and their use and development.

You can read more about the conference on the event page or in an article posted on the National Congressional Library of Chile's website.  Both are in Spanish.
