Breaking the Language Barrier

Poonam Saxena Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant from India.

"Being a Fulbrighter has enriched me more than I could ever have imagined. It has given me a wonderful opportunity to share my views, perceptions, and culture with people not only from the U.S., but from all over the world. It has taught me that I can make a difference; all I need to do is try and give it my best shot. In a world full of mistrust and prejudices, it is an uphill task to make people understand the importance of continuous dialogue and to promote the voices of sanity. Being a Fulbrighter provides the right forum for these voices to be heard by people in the right places— from important politicians to common folk, and keeps the hope of having a peaceful world alive." |
