Indonesia
As a result of over 50 years of binational educational exchange, the Fulbright Program in Indonesia is one of the highest priority areas of investment in Asia, and one of the most important core programs worldwide. The various Fulbright grants available to Indonesians promote English language proficiency, enhance university development, reach new, younger and broader audiences, contribute to advances in technology, civil society, and scholarship, and work to draw religious influences into the mainstream.
Fulbright opportunities for Indonesians to study, conduct research and teach languages in the U.S. have more than tripled in recent years. In addition to the core Fulbright program, numerous special initiatives allow students to study English language, comparative religion, business, international affairs, human rights law, and other fields integral to the advancement of Indonesian civil society.
