    • The Fulbright Program in Papua New Guinea, the Soloman Islands and Vanuatu is administered by the Public Affairs Section of the U.S. Embassy in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea.

      The Fulbright Program in Fiji, Kiribati, Nauru, Tonga and Tuvalu is administered by the Public Affairs Section of the U.S. Embassy in Suva, Fiji.

    • Selection will be made based on the quality of applications rather than per-country quotas, making the distribution of awards to countries in the region vary annually according to the applicants' caliber.

      Fulbright U.S. Students in Papua New Guinea, the Soloman Islands and Vanuatu are supported by the Public Affairs Section of the U.S. Embassy in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea while on their grant.

      The Fulbright U.S. Student Program enables U.S. graduating college seniors, graduate students, young professionals, and artists to study abroad for one academic year.

      The Fulbright U.S. Student Program is administered by the Institute of International Education (IIE).
