Selection will be made based on the quality of applications rather than per-country quotas, making the distribution of awards to countries in the region vary annually according to the applicants' caliber.
Fulbright U.S. Students in Papua New Guinea, the Soloman Islands and Vanuatu are supported by the Public Affairs Section of the U.S. Embassy in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea while on their grant.
Fulbright U.S. Students in Fiji, Kiribati, Nauru, Tonga and Tuvalu are supported by the Public Affairs Section of the U.S. Embassy in Suva, Fiji while on their grant.
