The Fulbright Program in Timor-Leste was established in 2003 in the wake of the nation's independence.
Fulbright grants are available for Timorese students to pursue Masters' and Ph.D. degrees in the U.S.
In addition, U.S.–Timor-Leste Scholarship Program awards are available annually for Timorese students to pursue Bachelor's degrees at the University of Hawaii. This program is separate from the Fulbright Program.

Currently, no Fulbright Program opportunities exist for Americans in Timor-Leste.

Fulbright Foreign Student Program
The Fulbright Foreign Student Program enables graduate students, young professionals, and artists from abroad to research and study in the United States for one year or longer.
