Fulbright provides opportunities for graduate students from Trinidad and Tobago to pursue advanced studies in the U.S. Short-term visiting researcher opportunities to the U.S. are available for scholars from Trinidad and Tobago. In addition, U.S. institutions may request a Scholar-in-Residence.
Fulbright Program Opportunities in the U.S. for Trinidadians and Tobagonians
Fulbright grants to Trinidad and Tobago are available to U.S. citizens in the student and scholar categories. Priority fields for research and study include Caribbean integration and Caribbean and international trade, public health, epidemiology, environmental studies, race relations, law, human rights, and judicial reform.

Fulbright Foreign Student Program
The Fulbright Foreign Student Program enables graduate students, young professionals, and artists from abroad to research and study in the United States for one year or longer.

Fulbright Visiting Scholar Program
The Fulbright Visiting Scholar Program provides grants to conduct short-term research (approximately three months) at U.S. institutions.
Fulbright Scholar-in-Residence (SIR) Program
The Fulbright SIR Program brings scholars and professionals from abroad to U.S. college and university campuses for a semester or an academic year, primarily to teach undergraduate courses. SIR grantees also assist in developing curricula and serve as a resource for faculty, students, and the community.

Fulbright U.S. Student Program
The Fulbright U.S. Student Program offers fellowships for U.S. graduating college seniors, graduate students, young professionals, and artists to study abroad for one academic year.
The Fulbright U.S. Student Program is administered by the Institute of International Education (IIE).

Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program
The Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program sends American scholars and professionals abroad to lecture and/or conduct research in a wide variety of academic and professional fields.
Fulbright Specialist Program
The Fulbright Specialist Program, a short-term complement to the traditional Fulbright Scholar Program, sends U.S. faculty and professionals to serve as expert consultants on curriculum, faculty development, institutional planning, and related subjects at overseas academic institutions for a period of 2 to 6 weeks.
The Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program is administered by the Council for International Exchange of Scholars (CIES).
